The United Christian Hospital serving the South East Kowloon and the New Territories has extended from its current 663 beds to 1,048 beds.  The new building consists of 2-storey basement, 6-storey podium and a 12-storey tower with a total gross floor area of 84,400 sqm.  The new hospital block provides private and specialist wards covering emergency, orthopaedic, gynaecological, obstetric, paediatric and burns care.  Other facilities include an accident and emergency department, radio diagnostics, intensive care and coronary care units, theatres and central sterile supply department, outpatients departments, pathology department, kitchen and laundry.
